about the editorial team

Editorial direction

Insights by Mediafacturing is shaped by a practical editorial lens: business developments should not be reported as isolated events, but understood through their context, consequence and opportunity.

We focus on how policy, standards, technology, regulation, markets and industry shifts affect businesses — especially SMEs, manufacturers, founders and decision-makers navigating change.

Choi Kwok Keong

Founder & Editorial Lead, Mediafacturing

Kwok Keong leads the editorial direction of Insights by Mediafacturing. He brings experience across science, standards, industry development and business communications to examine how companies build credibility, adapt to change and create long-term value.

Selected articles may include external contributors, interviews, partner insights or sponsored features. These will be identified where relevant.

Our use of generative artificial intelligence

At Mediafacturing, we see generative AI as a useful tool for research, ideation, workflow support, and content enhancement. However, we do not see AI as a substitute for human judgement, editorial responsibility, industry understanding, or original thinking.

Our readers, clients, and partners trust us to provide useful business insight, practical context, and credible communication. We take that trust seriously. Any use of AI within Mediafacturing is guided by a simple principle: AI may support our work, but humans remain responsible for what we publish.

Editorial content

Mediafacturing may use AI tools to support background research, identify possible story angles, organise information, generate summaries, suggest headlines, draft social media blurbs, or improve internal workflows. However, all published editorial content is reviewed, edited, and approved by humans.

We do not publish AI-generated material without human oversight. Facts, claims, names, figures, and references must be checked against credible sources before publication. Final editorial judgement always rests with Mediafacturing.

Where AI-generated summaries, explainers, or assisted features are presented directly to readers, we will make this clear where appropriate.

Images and visuals

Mediafacturing may use AI-generated or AI-assisted images for selected editorial, conceptual, or illustrative purposes, especially where no suitable original or licensed image is available. When AI-generated visuals are used, we aim to ensure they do not mislead readers or misrepresent real people, places, products, or events.

We will continue to support human creativity through original design, photography, illustration, and commissioned visual work where appropriate.

Business, client, and research work

For consulting, branding, strategy, website, and client-related projects, AI may be used to support research, drafting, brainstorming, content planning, design exploration, and productivity. However, recommendations, strategies, and deliverables are shaped and reviewed by human practitioners.

Mediafacturing’s value lies not in simply using tools, but in applying judgement, context, creativity, and business understanding to help clients communicate and grow with credibility.

Our ongoing position

Generative AI is evolving quickly, and so are the ethical, legal, and professional expectations around its use. This statement may be updated as the technology develops, regulations change, and better practices emerge.

Our commitment remains unchanged: to use AI responsibly, transparently, and in service of better human-led work.
